The primary purpose of cabin air filter is to help clean the air that enters into your vehicle through the ventilation system, keeping the air inside your vehicle clean and fresh.
Location of this cabin filter: Under the hood. Tools: None.
When you change your filter (maybe variant for your model. Please see the owner’s manual or find a local mechanic for exact instructions for the particular model):
- Open hood.
- Remove sectional rubber cushion on the passenger side of the vehicle by raising and pulling back toward the middle of the vehicle.
- Locate the cabin filter cover and remove by pulling up and sliding out.
- Locate the cabin filter access door and unfasten the clasp securing the filter access door. Remove the door.
- Remove the old filter.
- Install your new cabin filter.
- Install remove parts by reversing the removal procedure. Close the hood and it’s done.
