These gorgeous yellow springtails are a great addition to any bioactive enclosure due to their ability to thrive in a wide range of temperatures. This yellow, or "albino" color morph was an isolation from Ceratophysella sp. "Lilac".

The Ceratophysella sp. are a quick reproducing species and do very well on clay substrate or in soil. 

Springtails are essential members of any bioactive clean up crew. No enclosure should be without them! Springtails keep mold at bay and work in harmony with isopods, eating decaying plants, excess food sources and waste products.

Ceratophysella sp. are easy to care for, they do best with temps between 65-80 degrees. They are slower moving but they do jump like Folsomia candida and you can see them swarming food during feeding time. They enjoy moist soil and humidity and reproduce quickly making them a great species of springtail for any collection.
