The A Level Biology courses equip students with an in depth understanding of both human and plant Biology and to develop scientific skills and methodology. A Level Biology is a good basis to progress to further studies including Medicine, Environmental Studies and Veterinary Science.

FAQ A Level Biology:

What additional equipment do I need to bring to the exams?
For A Level Biology you may use a HB pencil for graphs and diagrams. You should also ensure that you have a ruler and an eraser. A basic scientific calculator which meets JCQ regulations is the best option for A Level Biology, if the calculator has any memory capacity this must be cleared before the exam and the calculator should have no formulae or other information on it.

Why is there an option that includes practicals?
As part of A Level Biology candidates are required to complete a practical endorsement to demonstrate their competence in the practical skills that are integral to Biology. We recognise that this is something that home-schooled students cannot complete themselves so have developed an exam board approved four day practical course to complete the practical endorsement. If you are entering A Level Biology you are expected to complete the practical endorsement.

Can I carry-forward the practical endorsement if I am resitting?
Yes, please select the ‘Practical Carry Forward’ option and ensure that you provide the UCI number that you used when you first took A Level Biology.

This book is an excellent introduction to the basic principles of insurance. We used this text as a supplement in our Intro to Act. Sci. class. It is very readable, easy to understand. The best book for any person who wants to understand how American Courts work! At times we all ask questions like "How can this criminal get off on technicalities if it is obvious that he/she committed crime?", or "How can this be fair?" or "How can a lawyer defend this "bad guy/girl"? This is totally wrong! He/she is a criminal!" The author explains the difference between law and common sense, law and ethics, understanding of crime in legal terms and in laymen words.The book closely examines the logical reasoning of the law professionals , demonstrating the "tricks" used in court rooms. Fascinating reading!!! WARNING: the book will not prepare you to go to court and defend your case! This is not a "how-to" manual for folks who are planning to go to court. Hire a lawyer if need be.
