Wat is een wandcontactdoos?

Een RJ45 wandcontactdoos is een soort stopcontact voor een computernetwerk. Als er een kabel getrokken is worden deze dozen gebruikt om uw vaste bekabeling netjes af te monteren en zo internet-punten te creëren. Vanaf de wandcontactdoos gebruikt u patchkabels om uw apparaten te verbinden met het internet. Als u een CAT5e UTP kabel gebruikt, moet u ook een CAT5e wandcontactdoos gebruiken. U kunt er ook voor kiezen om keystone wandcontactdozen te gebruiken, deze optie geeft u iets meer vrijheid om de wandcontactdoos zo in te richten zoals u dat wilt. Installatie van een wandcontactdoos gebeurd door middel van LSA stroken, hiervoor heeft u een LSA punch-down tool nodig. Voor installatie van wandcontactdozen moet u altijd een kabel met stugge (massieve) kern gebruiken.
