Коли впорядковане життя Потойбіччя пішло догори дриґом через зникнення Володаря, Чорний та Біла вимушені залишити свої обов’язки й вирушити на його пошуки. Їх призначення — світ людей, 'острівна держава Сходу, місцина дивних з’яв'.
