Le uve dell’Eremita profonde e decise hanno un carattere selvaggio ed una valenza storica stampata a fuoco nella memoria del nostro territorio. Si narra che nell‘anno 800 l’eremita Alemanno si stabilì sull’altura di Rosazzo a condurre il suo ritiro spirituale. In quel luogo, circa duecento anni dopo, gli Agostiniani insegnarono alle popolazioni locali a coltivare la terra e in questo stesso luogo si trovano le prime tracce del vitigno Pignolo, risalenti alla fine del 1700. Chiamato “Pignul” in friulano, delicato e poco produttivo, sul finire del XIX secolo fu sul punto di scomparire e sempre a Rosazzo fu in seguito riscoperto e recuperato. 

  • Caratteristiche: Il colore è di un rosso granata non molto intenso, seppur profondo, con venature nerastre. Al naso, ampio ed intenso, la prugna secca precede una sensazione di mora rossa, di marmellata di marasca e di tamarindo custodite in un portasigari, seguita ancora da note di mirtillo, fiori di rododendro, felce, violetta e bacche di sambuco. I sentori poi virano sullo speziato tra pepe nero, chiodo di garofano, incenso e cannella. Tabacco da pipa, corniolo, inchiostro di china e profumo di tostatura del caffè chiudono il cerchio di un vino dalla grande vastità olfattiva. In bocca, il susseguirsi prorompente di aromi ritorna consegnando al palato un vino complesso e potente, che travolge, eppure è capace di grande freschezza con un tannino che resta protagonista, ma è fitto ed elegante, e una sapidità finale che esorta al secondo assaggio. Un vino che gioca con il tempo, quello che si prende, nell’attesa che vengano comprese tutte le evoluzioni al naso ed in bocca, per consegnare un quadro armonico con molteplici sfumature.
  • Abbinamenti: Il tempo ritorna negli abbinamenti dove questo vino trova la sua massima espressione con cotture lente come brasati, carni da selvaggina, ragù, spezzatini. Quei piatti che ci riportano ad assaporare il valore dell’attesa e il recupero di un modo di vivere antico.

Storia Livio Felluga

È facile intuire come la storia di Livio Felluga e del suo vino si intrecci con la storia di quella particolare terra che circonda l’estremo nord est dell’Adriatico, il punto di contatto fra il Mediterraneo e l’Europa centrale. Storia di confini più volte cambiati, imperi scomparsi, guerre passate... di genti che qui si sono fermate. È la storia di un uomo che ha attraversato due guerre mondiali, è vissuto nell’Impero Austroungarico prima e nel giovane Regno d’Italia poi, ha abitato sulla costa rocciosa della penisola istriana e nella Grado lagunare. Livio Felluga si trasferì in Friuli alla fine degli anni ’30, per stabilirsi sui dolci contrafforti delle colline di Rosazzo. Il suo sogno di produrre vino di collina fu interrotto dal richiamo al fronte. Come se non bastasse, il ritorno in Italia non fu facile per i reduci della Seconda Guerra Mondiale: i confini fisici, politici ed etnici erano cambiati, stravolti per sempre, come lo stesso paesaggio agricolo e sociale della collina. La popolazione contadina se ne stava andando, impoverendo ulteriormente la terra e abbandonando colture, valori e tradizioni ad essa legati. Livio Felluga dovette intraprendere una nuova battaglia per far risorgere la collina, convinto che solo la rinascita della coltivazione di qualità potesse riportare la vita nella campagna friulana. Con grande coraggio cominciò a restaurare gli antichi vigneti di Rosazzo ed impiantarne di nuovi, introducendo idee e metodi innovativi. Un lavoro duro, intrapreso con grande caparbietà e passione che lo porterà nel corso degli anni a creare una delle più belle e significative realtà aziendali del Belpaese, acquisendo a pieno diritto il titolo di rifondatore della tradizione viticola friulana e attore di riferimento del rinascimento enologico italiano.

Obsessed. Soothing, effective, fragrance-free, incredibly healing
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
I’ve been loving this so much I bought a second bottle after a few days of using it. It has all the skin soothing benefits of the tolerance lotion cleanser, but it’s also a really great cleanser. It’s almost not noticeable how good it is at cleansing because your skin doesn’t feel stripped after, but it takes things off really quickly. I was worried because it doesn’t foam a lot and it feels so nurturing — much like the tolerance lotion cleanser (which I use as a second cleanse when my skin needs a few days to recover from something like a derm office treatment) — but when I wash again with my favorite HG cleanser nothing extra comes off, and I tested it twice on waterproof eyeliner that I’d swiped on my forearm for an hour or so, the eyeliner dissolved and wiped off with two or three gentle swipes. It has a very emollient texture, so when you rub it against your skin it slips so easily you don’t realize it’s dissolving and taking things away because there is no friction. So it’s great at taking off makeup, it’s AMAZING at cleaning makeup brushes, and IT DOES NOT BURN MY EYES AT ALL. Also, it is FRAGRANCE-FREE… before I bought it I read a review complaining about smelling a citrus fragrance, that person either has some sort of brain tumor or something spilled on their bottle when it was in a warehouse because this is definitely a fragrance-free product. Prior to trying this, I had tried another cleanser that gave me weird acne hives all over my chest (never happened to me before) and I was struggling to heal the acne and the irritation. I noticed an immediate difference when I started using the tolerance cleanser on it; the fresh redness went away, the acne started healing, and the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation has been healing fast. So I’ve been using this on my body as well and it’s soothing and moisturizing in all the places where other things have been drying. I have mild rosacea and I hadn’t realized how irritated my skin was from the last thing I’d tried until after 5 days or so of using this my skin tone looked much more even and the stubborn PIH I have from a two-zit hormonal breakout a month ago finally looked dramatically lighter (as recently as the week before, I’d needed to cover them with high-coverage concealer). Because this doesn’t foam much, some people might not realize how well it’s cleaning… I encourage you to judge it based on how your skin looks and feels. Since it is very emollient though, I do think it’s important to use it with a face wash scrubber or washcloth just to ensure you’re getting some mild mechanical exfoliation and clearing away skin cells that could be trapping stuff in your pores. For this reason, I do wash my face with this twice so the first wash can get off makeup/debris/oil and then the second wash can really penetrate and clean my skin.

No Scent and Gentle

I broke out in a case of Perioral Dermatitis recently and bought this product to help before I could see my doctor. Avene Tolerance facial cleanser has no scent and is very gentle on my skin. It didn’t burn when washing with this product, and even helped to slough off the dead skin around my lips. My face feels clean, not dry. I am still going to see my doc to get an RX for the inflammation, but I do believe this product helped to alleviate the dryness and tightness of my skin and lips. I’ve used other Avene products and I’m very happy with them. Even though these products are more expensive, to me they are well worth the money because they are much more gentle on the skin than any other products I’ve used. I will buy this product again just because of the fact that it’s so gentle. PS: at the time of purchase for this product, I also bought Avene’s Tolerance Control Skin Recovery Cream (you don’t need to use a lot of this one on your entire face), and Avene’s Cicalfate for lips. Between these 3 products, my lips and skin feel a lot better (however, I will still see my doctor because I have Crohn’s Disease and Perioral Dermatitis is considered an extra-intestinal side effect of Crohn’s).
