The PRS S2 Standard 24 features a Pattern Thin mahogany neck fitted with a rosewood fretboard. A hallmark of PRS quality, neck shapes are critical to your playing experience. Perfected after years of prototyping, the Pattern Thin neck carve is an updated version of the company’s traditional wide-thin neck style. The Pattern Thin neck shape is fast and comfortable — ideal for players with smaller hands or guitarists who use classical left-hand positioning, pivoting with their thumb on the back of the neck. With a 10-inch fingerboard radius, 24 nickel frets, and a 25-inch scale, the S2 Standard 24 skillfully weaves comfort, speed, and accessibility into a multifaceted axe, enhancing your opportunities to deploy its distinctive sonic character.

Playing your favorite licks through the S2 Standard 24’s covered 58/15 LT pickups immediately imbues the guitar’s complex tonewood composition with a masterful mix of vintage-inspired hues and contemporary articulation. Like the S series pickups before them, these 58/15 LT humbuckers are modeled after the 58/15 pickups Paul Reed Smith designed for PRS’s 30th anniversary. From shimmering cleans to blistering high-gain tones, the clarity and extended tonal range provided by these pickups have our guitarists in agreement: the S2 Standard 24 is the ideal, powerful workhorse guitar.
