The ShowerBuddy TubBuddy with Tilt (SB2T) is the standard TubBuddy SB2 with one critical addition — a 0–30° tilt function that solves the most common problem caregivers face when transferring a user into a bathtub. With a standard transfer system the user's legs need to clear the tub rim as the chair slides across. If the user has limited leg movement, spasticity, or cannot actively assist with lifting their own legs, that moment of clearance becomes a genuine safety challenge — and often a strain injury for the caregiver.

The tilt changes that entirely. Before the chair slides over the tub rim, the caregiver uses the interchangeable release lever — operable from either side — to lean the user back up to 30°. In the reclined position the footrest clears the tub edge automatically as the chair slides across the bridge. No leg lifting. The user then tilts forward back into an upright bathing position inside the tub. The same process in reverse brings them out. For users with reduced leg movement, spasticity, or high muscle tone, this is the difference between a transfer that's possible and one that isn't.

The three-component system is otherwise identical to the standard TubBuddy — rolling base, bridge, tub base with stabilising feet and side stabilisers gripping the tub walls. No bathroom modifications needed. Rolls over most toilets for commode use. Commode bucket and lid included for bedside use. Neck rest included for head support during tilt. Secondary safety mechanism prevents the chair from sliding off the bridge tracks. Supports up to 350 lbs. System weight 66.62 lbs. Lifetime warranty on the frame. 2-year component warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the specific advantage of tilt for bathtub transfers vs. standard transfers?
The tub rim is the obstacle. With the standard TubBuddy, the user slides across the bridge and their feet need to clear the rim as the chair moves — which requires either the user to actively lift their own legs or the caregiver to do it. For users with spasticity, limited lower limb movement, or high muscle tone, that's often not feasible safely. Tilting the chair back 20–30° before the transfer lowers the footrest angle so it clears the rim naturally as the chair slides. No leg lifting. This is why OTs specify the tilt version specifically for users with lower limb involvement.

How is the tilt lever operated?
The release lever is interchangeable — it can be positioned on either side of the chair to suit the bathroom layout and the caregiver's working position. The caregiver engages the lever, the chair tilts to the desired angle, the transfer slides over the tub rim, then the caregiver releases the lever and the chair returns to upright inside the tub.

What is the secondary safety mechanism?
The SB2T includes a secondary anti-slide mechanism on the bridge tracks that prevents the chair from sliding off the track unexpectedly during the tilted transfer. This is an additional safety feature not present on the standard SB2, addressing the higher-risk transfer moment when the user is tilted and sliding simultaneously.

How is this different from the standard TubBuddy SB2?
Identical system — same three components, same tub base stabilisation, same bridge, same frame specs — with the addition of the tilt mechanism, neck rest, and secondary safety mechanism. The SB2T is heavier (66.62 lb vs. standard weight) due to the tilt mechanism. If the user has good lower limb movement and can assist with clearing the tub rim, the standard SB2 is sufficient. If they can't, the SB2T is the right chair.

Will it fit my bathtub?
Use the ShowerBuddy BathCheck calculator or call us with your tub measurements — height from floor, depth, interior width. The same compatibility specs as the standard SB2 apply. Key limits: tub height max 21", depth max 20.75", width for stabilisers 17"–26.5". Extender accessories are available for tubs outside these ranges.

What warranty exclusions apply to the tilt mechanism?
The tilt brake line is specifically excluded from the 2-year warranty — it's a wear component. ShowerBuddy recommends periodic inspection of the brake line as part of routine maintenance. The frame carries the lifetime corrosion warranty.

Pretty Darn Good
Format: Kindle
So I’ve been on a omega kick and this definitely hit the spot. Madison was frustrating at times with how she acted towards Lucas, Gray, and Rian. It was like she said towards the end, she didn’t believe she deserved nice things. It would have been nice to hear from her best friends again. They kind of were there in the beginning and the gone except for mention of text messages received from them. I feel like her friends would have been great help in encouraging Madison to go with the pack and never give Brent another chance because he was toxic. I loved Rian. His personality was awesome. His humor. His ability to make Madison comfortable whenever she was feeling overwhelmed. And the fact he fell for her and she fell for him first. They are cute together. I do feel like Lucas was the odd man out though. Like Lucas didn’t develop as much of a relationship with Madison. I would have really liked to see more development in the relationship between them. It was also the same with him and Rian. There is really no relationship displayed. Most of the relationship being displayed is between Rian and Gray. Nevertheless, I loved reading about the dynamic that came to fruition during the entirety of this story. Madison finally got her happiness. And Brent finally got punched in the face. Everyone got exactly what they deserve.

Pack's Promise was okay but not great
Format: Kindle
Pack's Promise was okay but not great. I won't recommend it to anyone that I know. PRO: * Very likable characters * Lots of steamy scenes that are written very well * The spelling and grammar are good * The punctuation is good with the exception of using hyphens instead of commas. Lots of hyphens. Lots and lots of hyphens. CON: * Almost no interactions with any characters outside of Madison and the pack * Nearly no plot. They meet, get together for a heat, agree to make it permanent, done * Quite a few typos such as extraneous words, missing words and words out of order THINGS TO KNOW: * More steamy scenes than storytelling * A lot of MM & MMM, some MFMM during heat

Fluffy and Nice Omegaverse
Format: Kindle
… this would have made 5 stars but for 2 reasons. A.) there were quite a few typos; misspelled words, missing quotations, “the his” mistakes, and various signs that maybe a proofread would do good. B.) the writing was quite textbook. Late blooming omega is struggling with her new self, finds a absurdly wealthy pack of alphas, every thing is almost insta-love but she resists, then decides to love herself and let everyone be happy. Rian was my favourite (obviously the author’s favourite too because he got the most page time) but I wish we could see more of his CEO side? He went to work maybe ONCE the entire time. Gray was supposed to be the “growly one” but he turned out to be puppy dog. Lucas was a genius brainiac doctor - but also super alpha with an aggressive hindbrain with a breeding k*nk?? And then there was no actual “breeding”?? Spice 3/5 - normally omegaverse books are super high on messy smut but this was tamer. Romance 3/5 - insta-love that was then resisted because of personal hangup’s Plot 2/5 - weird paced head hopping, showing the same scene from different POV’s that made me feel like it was 2 steps backward, 1 step forward. Humour 4/5 - there were a dozen lines that genuinely made me chuckle out loud Would have been five stars but the lack of proofreading and the predictable plot made me unable to get up to ADORED IT level - four stars is still and official ENJOYED IT, y’all. This isn’t a bad rating. The “Club Heat” has intriguing possibilities so I’m going to give the second one a shot.
